A three days conference on IPEC (International Principals Education Conference 2023) New Song with Old Composition was conducted at Chitnavis Centre organised by The South Public School Omkar Nagar Nagpur from 30th November to 2nd December 2023. Program began with inauguration. All the dignitaries Dr.Mrunalini Dasture, Mr.Mangesh Chinewar, Mr. Devendra Dasture,Dr.Vijay Fanshikar begin the program with the lamp lighting ceremony. Dr.Vijay Fanshikar and Dr. Mrunalini Dasture were the keynote speaker on the first day. Almost two hundred participants attended the conference.Twenty participants presented their papers on the thought behind present education system. Second day conference started with wonderful performance by Tabla Maestro Anuradha Pal. The youngest principal of India Mr. Babar Ali shared his life journey and Mr.Alok Sheode presented his photographical stories .All the speakers elaborated different ways to impliment skills in new education system. This educational conference ended on 2nd December by Valedictory function with the presence of the Chief Guest Mr.Nitinji Gadkari .Overall the three days conference was a great success.Teachers those who attended the above conference from Raisoni Junior College were

Curriculum and Assessment - Our guiding light

The Junior College under the umbrella of the RGI group is affiliated to The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education. This in turn is a statutory and autonomous body which was incepted under the Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act (1965). It was later amended in 1977. The system of education has the State Board Curriculum as the foundation stone.

The medium of communication in the premises continues to be English. Thus, comprehensive steps are taken to ensure learning through this medium at all levels of education.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

  • The students are required to greet the teachers and elders whenever they meet them inside or outside the campus.
  • Politeness should be a part of their conduct when asking queries or answering.
  • Slang and loud tone has to be avoided at all times to maintain the decorum of the institute.
  • Kindness and a helpful nature is expected from all the students.
  • Presentable with neat and clean uniform is mandatory for every student.
  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the college premises.
  • It is mandatory for the students remaining absent for long periods due to illness/mishaps to submit medical certificate/letter from parents/guardians immediately after joining.
  • A minimum of 75% attendance in theory and Practical classes is necessary.
  • Tuition classes/full time/part-time job which clashes with the college timing is not permissible.
  • An individual who is not a part of the college is strictly prohibited to accompany a student in the college premises.
  • Off periods are to be spent in the college library.
  • Playing holi in the campus is strictly prohibited.
  • Littering the premises is an offence.
  • The college property should be taken care of completely.
  • Any matter concerning the college cannot be send to the press/publication directly by a student.
  • Unions/societies formation is not allowed in the college without the prior consent of the Principal.
  • Meetings cannot be held in the college premises by the students without prior permission from the Principal.
  • Any direct action on the part of the student like college strike/ boycotting of classes and the like will result in rustication of the concerned students.
  • A change in the Subject/subjects will not be permissible unless otherwise granted by the Principal.
  • Any change in the address of the student needs to be notified to the admission section in writing.
  • Being a part of ragging whether actively or passively, a conspiracy associated with it will be strictly punishable.

RULES FOR COLLEGE EXAMINATION

We strictly follow the examination schedule as per the guidelines of Maharashtra State Board. In one academic session two Unit tests and two Terminal exams are conducted:

  • No student shall remain absent from any class test or college examination without special permission.
  • The application requesting leave on medical ground especially at the time of the college examination will be treated as invalid, if not accompanied by Medical Certificate.
  • A student who remains absent for both college test and examination in a year or has habitually missed class tests, will on no account be promoted to the next class or be permitted by the college to appear in the board exam.
  • A strict record of marks is maintained by the college of all written work. Evaluation scheme Evaluation scheme for compulsory/ Elective subjects are: Written test: 80 marks Oral test: 20Marks

RULES OF PROMOTION FOR FIRST YEAR JUNIOR:

All junior college students shall have to appear in the unit tests, assignments, practical Examination tutorial work, terminal Exam and promotion examination.

  • Promotion of the students shall be decided by giving equal weightage to all above exams and annual attendance
  • Final result shall be decided on the average marks of all above exams which should not be less than 35%.
  • There shall be no re-examination for students who fails in the first year Junior college examination.
  • Failures will not be promoted to higher class
  • Students indulging in unfair means shall be detained/ rusticated even if they obtain over all pass marks
  • The College authorities will not be responsible if the students are declared fail either due to poor performance or absence in the above exams.

Students who have passed S.S.C. Examination with 40% and above marks of the State Boards or CBSE or an Examination of any other Board recognized as equivalent there to.

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

  • Fill in very carefully and correctly the Admission Form enclosed with college prospectus.
  • The Admission form can also be downloaded from the website. (The tudent has to pay for the prospectus & form at the time of registration).
  • The student must submit the admission application form along with all necessary relevant photocopies of documents to the college office for admission to class XI
  • During finalization of admission, you have to submit all the original relevant Documents/ Certificates along with prescribed fees.
  • It is expected for the student to be present during the finalization of admission.
  • For any query you are expected to contact the Admission Committee.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED A THE TIME OF ADMISSION:

Read instructions before filling up the application. The attested documents to be enclosed are:

  • A school/college leaving certificate (Original + Two xerox copy)
  • The qualifying examination mark statement (Original + Two xerox copy)
  • The mark statement of X examination (Two Xerox copy)
  • Caste and validity certificate
  • Certificate of proof for sports and ex- serviceman (if applicable)

** Incomplete application forms and applications received after the last date will be rejected.

FEE REGULATION

  • All the installments are to be paid strictly on or before the last date as mentioned.
  • The delay of payments beyond three months renders a pupil liable to be struck off the role.
  • No deduction will be made for the period of non attendance
  • Parents / Guardians are requested not to send cash through young children. The school authorities will not be responsible for any loss of money by the pupils because of their own carelessness
  • No amount of fees shall be refunded even if a pupil for any reason leaves the school immediately after the admission.

WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE

  • A pupil who intends to leave the College in the middle of the session will be required to pay the fees for the whole session.
  • The College leaving certificate shall ordinarily be issued within seven days of the application along with documentary evidences.
  • Duplicate copies of the College leaving certificate will not be issued except in genuine cases, it will not be issued except in genuine cases, the school will charge Rs. 500/- with proper documentation for issuing duplicate certificate.
  • College leaving certificate will not be issued till all payments due to the school are cleared.
