BBA or Bachelor of Business Administration is a three-year undergraduate degree course. It is mainly for students who are passionate about business and aim to be successful entrepreneurs. Since the course focuses on nurturing and developing entrepreneurship and managerial skills in interested students. It has a generalized approach towards business and management. We use a combination of theoretical and practical teaching in order to instil the right skills and knowledge in students. Moreover, the course opens many doors in different sectors like finance, marketing, government and sales for the candidates. Thus, a BBA degree is potent enough to provide one with many job opportunities as well as diverse career options.

Course Structure

This program consists of Three years divided into Six semesters. Undergraduate management courses are offered through the Bachelor of Business Administration, sometimes referred to as BBA General or BBA Pass Course. Almost all renowned universities in India, including Delhi University, offer three-year courses.

The course is general education. There are certain elective subjects available in addition to the mandatory courses that are required of all BBA students. Various colleges and universities may have different optional courses.

Being a comprehensive programme, the three-year BBA programme gives you the freedom to select your post-graduate subject and field according to your interests. Some may find this to be advantageous if they want to start their own business because a BBA gives them a solid understanding of what management is about.

Eligibility

  • The eligibility criteria for the course are very basic. The student just has to have a qualified 12th board from any of the recognized universities. And they could belong to any of the three streams namely science, arts or commerce.

Admission Procedure

  • Before starting every admission cycle, the University issues a notification on the University website, notice board and other public domains like newspapers, etc.
  • After the last date of application is over, a list of shortlisted students is put up on the University website, or notice board, or the students are informed directly about their admission.
  • You are eligible to apply even if you’re awaiting the results of your qualifying examination(s). Such candidates are offered provisional admissions and have to submit their previous years’ mark sheets to confirm that they fall into the eligibility criteria. You must submit your mark sheet before the due date of applying for admission. Once the provisional admission is approved, the candidate will have one month to provide the mark sheet for the qualifying examination. Subsequently, failing to do so will result in the cancellation of provisional admission.
  • If a candidate is granted provisional admission under the above-mentioned conditions and the said candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria or has failed to obtain the required marks. In that case, the provisional admission is cancelled.
  • An application form is rejected for the following reasons:
    • The candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria provided by the University.
    • The admission is cancelled if the candidate fails to enclose the prescribed fee.
    • Provisional admission is cancelled if the application form does not contain the signature of the candidate and their parents/guardian, wherever applicable.
    • The candidate fails to submit the supporting documents in time for admission
  • After submitting all the necessary documents and fees, the student will be assigned an enrollment number by the University. Rules set by the University for the process of admission will be applicable from time to time.

Careers

A plethora of career options is available for one after completing their BBA degree. They can go ahead for higher studies in their choice of subject or field. Otherwise, they can get attractive jobs in government as well as private organisations directly after finishing the graduation course.

Further Studies:

As per their interest and liking a BBA graduate can choose the course for their higher studies. Many great options are available for them. They can either go for an MBA (Master of Business Administration) in their choice of subject or a PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management). Both of these programs are among the foremost choices of BBA graduates. Apart from these they can also switch fields and go for an LLB degree or become a Chartered Accountant. Thus there isn’t any lack of options available and fields to explore for BBA graduates

Job Opportunities

As aforementioned, both public and private sectors have job availability for business and management graduates. A number of tasks contribute to the smooth running of any business. And business and management professionals handle these tasks, creating many job opportunities for BBA graduates. Thus, one can start their own business, do a marketing or management or sales job or take up a government job.
