Overview

  • Duration - 2 year
  • Program Type - Full time

The M.Tech. curriculum has been created with a focus on interdisciplinary abilities and excellent thesis work. It is quite inventive. The thesis is expected to lead to excellent scholarly papers and presentations. Each discipline has a variety of accessible research areas. Core courses in CAD software and fundamentals design comprise the programme. The opportunities for students are focused on providing specific knowledge and abilities in the use of advanced Computer-Aided design approaches.

M. Tech Mechanical (CAD/CAM)

The operation, application, and specialisation of computer software to produce designs for many sectors are known as CAD/CAM engineering. It aims to develop drafting abilities for electrical structures. Through a comprehensive curriculum, the M. Tech. in CAD/CAM teaches students how to use computers and scientific principles to address manufacturing-related challenges.

Learning and Course Structure

The 2-year M.Tech. CAD/CAM programme is broken into 2 semesters per year over the course of its 4 semesters. The effectiveness of applicants is assessed at the conclusion of each semester based on their performance in written exams, seminars, assignments, and project work. Candidates may choose this programme if they want to master the subject at a high level and have a solid understanding of the computer-based tools, processes, and procedures used in product design. Candidates for the course should have the ability to quickly develop a product in the R&D sector of the industry while achieving a sizable market share.

Eligibility

  • Candidates can pursue an M.Tech. in CAD/CAM if they have finished a B. Tech in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or production engineering. Applicants must have received a minimum cumulative grade of 60% in their graduation.
  • Additionally, they must pass the GATE test in order to pursue an M. Tech. Aspiring students must pass the college-level entrance exam to be admitted to other engineering institutes.

Admission Procedure

  • You are eligible to apply even if you are awaiting the results of your qualifying exam(s). Such applicants are given provisional admissions and are required to present their academic report from the previous school year to verify that they meet the requirements. Your final report must be turned in before the deadline for admissions applications. The candidate will have one month to submit the qualifying examination mark sheet following the approval of the provisional admission. Failure to do so will therefore result in the termination of provisional admission. If a candidate is given provisional admission under the aforementioned circumstances but fails to meet the eligibility requirements or does not receive the necessary marks, the candidate will not be admitted. The provisional admission is cancelled in that situation.
  • The University will provide the student with an enrolment number after receiving all proper documents and fees.
  • There may be instances where the University's admissions rules may remain applicable.

Renowned staff and visiting academic and industrial faculty. Our faculty includes fellows of reputed institutes as well as award-winning members who serve on important boards.

Our Alumni and Placement

  • Our M.Tech. alumni are effectively working for esteemed academic institutions, conducting research in several organizations, as well as national and international universities and R&D organisations. Many of them are employed by national businesses.
  • Student employability prospects are many and quite flexible. Following are a few of the common positions that postgraduates begin with:
    • Design Engineering
    • Senior Mechanical Engineer
    • Software Engineer
    • Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
    • Software Developer
    • Assistant Professor

Careers and Further Studies

  • The professional prospects and future potential are increased with an M.Tech degree. The possibility that students will be hired by the top organisations is also significantly increased once they have received a postgraduate engineering degree. The only requirement in this instance is that the degrees be earned from the best engineering universities.
  • Graduates of the M.Tech in CAD/CAM programme can get employment not just in India but also worldwide. The knowledge students acquire during their college years enables them to begin their careers in MNCs successfully, which can tremendously aid them in finding employment abroad. Students may also choose to pursue higher education, which may make it simpler for them to get employment abroad
  • You may pursue PhD after your M.Tech if you wish to study further. Students anticipate high-paying careers. After earning your M.Tech, you could next pursue PhD Although it takes longer, it is worthwhile in the long run, and you can find a quality job right away.
